Today was a bad day with my Web hosting package. I had set up a test site for Ray to play with about six months before he passed. He had been thinking he might want to leave a site behind for people to remember him by. Not much came of it because his health and energy declined before he got very far. I remembered it today and went to delete the WordPress installation in his partition as a very out-of-date WordPress installation is a massive security risk and I didn’t need my Webhost’s server getting hacked through one of my unused sites. Removing Ray’s work somehow deleted my entire site. I mean everything.

About an hour later I had most of my shite restored from backups, but a few of the plugins still aren’t working properly and now I have to remember how to configure them all over again. I haven’t touched them since the initial setup over a year ago. My larger issue is that I have about five hours of continuing education unit (CEU) credits due for my insurance license that I need to finish and I’m up against the wire for those. That is what I will be working on my spare time this weekend.
I apologize if anyone runs into odd errors while using the site – I’ll get to them when I can. Today’s good news is that my DJI Mini 3 appears to be more robust in a strong wind than my Mini 2 was. I pushed it a bit today flying over water for this evening’s sunset image and the Mini 3 behaved like a champ. So that was awesome.
The day turned out okay in the end. I salvaged over a year’s worth of work, got it mostly banged into shape again, and even rounded out the evening with a photo I liked. It’s a good time to be grateful.
