I saw so many flowering trees I wanted to photograph today, but… The lawn is mowed, the yard is trimmed, and progress was made with the travel trailer. I’m pleased to report there is fresh water, grey water, and at some point black water. The plumbing and septic in the unit is a go. So is hot water for the sinks and shower and gas power for the fridge, which also runs fine off of AC. The stove works and the furnace works and the lighting works. Much thanks to the wife and kid for helping get the queen matteress out of storage and into the bedroom. Most importantly, I finally got that last, miserable, sumbitchin’ bedroom window unseized.

Also accomplished today: The air conditioner units were pulled out of storage and moved to the house as it’s about to get hot soon. I figured I would get ahead of the curve and bring them home. That turned out to be an unexpected adventure. The good news from this past winter is that my arms are in not bad shape at all from all the sidewalks I shoveled for local seniors. The bad news is that my heart is being … my heart. I picked up the large portable unit and my heart decided it was going to take a break without telling me.
I’m pleased to report that the very heavy portable air conditioner was not damaged when I went arse over teakettle as I had the good sense to cushion its fall using my chest. It took me a couple minutes to get my wind back, let me tell you. My left elbow will also be sore for a few days. Or weeks. Who knows. Atrial fibrillation is a bugger, what can I say?
The day ended with pulling out a camera in the last hour of light left, and that’s how a day should end. It’s nice to have a weekend where stuff gets done (yesterday was oil changes, rotating tires, etc.). Life is good. Especially when there are blossoms to point a camera at.

I busted out the Canon EOS R5 with the now infamous Helios 44m-2 58mm f2.0 lens that has the reversed front lens element for that whirly, swirly bokeh effect.
