I can’t tell you if I had the blues or the blahs, but I went for a stroll down my back alley and managed to find both at the same time. It was at that moment I made some scandalous images of a neighbour’s back fence.
Work was done for the day, I was feeling like crap, and I figured I would try something different to get the requisite images for the daily blog post. I haven’t wandered back alleys much lately, so I grabbed my phone and headed down mine. I thought of taking a camera with me, but I was trying for a Ray vibe. (He was The Man for nailing shots everyone else would walk past and making them work.) Ray loved shooting with his phone and just his phone a lot of the time.
I found a chunk of fence that was a bit plain, but then realized different parts of it had different things going on, but with variations of the same colours. It fairly screamed triptych. That was something Ray would have shot, so I was off to a good start. I also got crowded to one side of the alley by a hillbilly hick in a jacked Ford F150 who got the finger and I yelled at a rat-sized dog to shut the hell up.
As Ray vibes go, I have to say I nailed it.
