A Bad Day With A Camera

From Start to Finish

It’s not often that I get to start and end the day with a skylife, but today was one of those days. I was actually up in time for sunrise, but it was meh at best. Around 7:30 am my wife asked if I’d like to go for a short walk before we started work and that seemed like a lovely idea.

I immediately irritated her by having to stop for photos with my phone every so often. The sky was dramatic with some golden hour light left over and I just couldn’t help myself. It was nice to start the day out right with the Missus and some good images to boot.

The sunset wasn’t overly dramatic, I’d rate it as Cardassian instead of Kardashian, but photographers take what they’re given, so the photography drone was tossed out the front door. It was nice to have a day that started and ended with good images, and I am thankful for it.

The morning images were made using my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone. The sunset image was made using my DJI Mini 3 photography drone.
