A good chunk of Sunday was spent floating the Bow River, photos from which I am still processing. I may have overdone it. I am also sore and stiff today because I wind up using my core muscles a lot going through the rougher parts of the river.
The boards also needed cleaning after coming out of the river at Johnson’s Island because the place is a bit of a mud bog, so there was that, too. I just didn’t feel much like walking around town for photos. So I looked for leaves turning in my yard.
I found some. We’re at the cusp of the leaves beginning to turn in earnest. I suspect that by the end of next week we’ll have more gold or brown than green because when they start to go, they go fast. I’m going to have a very short window in which to get some fall shots before our famous winds in Southern Alberta strip the trees bare on me.
Fall is coming whether I like it or not. I guess I’ll just have to point a lens around and find ways to celebrate it.
