I live in Western Canada in a region that can be charitably called “cowboy country”. We have a saying around here for someone that makes themselves out to be more than they are as being “all hat, no cattle.” They’ve got the cowboy duds, but nothing tangible to backup the cowboy image. Like … cattle.
I walked out late in the evening, looked at the sky, and went WHOA. It definitely looked like something impressive was bearing down on us. Could this be the moisture we so desperately need? Nope. We got a small sprinkle and the “storm” moved on.
It’s too bad the weather system didn’t stick around as it would have fitted in just fine with a lot of the locals.
