Friday morning was spittery and windy, not to mention cold. The wind was whipping the branches around so maybe one fifth of my shots that normally would have been in focus actually were. I didn’t feel like trying to get Helios flower shots out in the open where the wind was even stronger, so I chose to play it close to the vest and shoot only in my backyard that morning.

I didn’t wind up with much to show from my efforts, but it’s better than having nothing at all. And even when there’s nothing there’s still some value in being outside, getting fresh air, and smelling the blossoms. A lose is always a win when you’re holding a camera.
