March 2025 has been a month of firsts for me. My first time hooking up a travel trailer. My first time towing one, and my first time backing one into a tight space in my back driveway. That last bit was … challenging. Sincere thanks to my wife who kept me from running over anything expensive or taking out a fence, which was a close thing on both accounts. I did get the trailer in place in the end.

I remember a couple of years ago when I was first talking to my friend Ray about his terminal cancer diagnosis and he started laughing. Not something you’d expect at that moment.
“Dude, WTF? I don’t see how this is at all funny.”
“Because sometimes things are so bad, you just have to laugh.”
It’s too bad Ray wasn’t here to see my first attempt at backing the trailer up last night as I am sure he would have gotten a horse laugh out of it. Me as well, but later. In any case, the eagle has landed, so to speak, and now the cleaning and packing begins. There are bunch of cameras just waiting to find out where they fit in the new trailer for photography outings.

Oh, look. Another cell phone image. Imagine that.
