Whatever leaves were left when I departed for Canmore, AB, on Friday morning seem to have been swept away by the wind over the long weekend. Everything looks bare and barren now. Even the pretty red bushes I discovered a couple of weeks ago have shed what was left of their foliage. The Dead Season is upon us.
The No Tell Motel is closed for the season. No sticky teens made a hasty egress from it this visit like they did when I first happened on it in 2022. A young male and female exited the haphazard structure, both frantically adjusting clothing, and blushing brighter than Rudolph the Reindeer’s nose. It was adorable.
Now it’s nothing, nothing, and more nothing until next March unless I get creative somehow. Except that would take energy and I don’t have any at the moment.
Blah.
