Highway 27 east of Morrin, Alberta, runs past the Starland Campground and across Morrin Bridge, which traverses the Red Deer River. We used to stop here a lot when our kid was younger because there were outhouses she could use when she had to piddle (which was a lot). Not a pleasant experience, but necessary.

The kid is an adult now and the rest site with the outhouses disappeared when the old creaky bridge was replaced with the new one. The Missus and I occasionally like to stop here when we pass through, smell the water, and enjoy the scenery. It’s pretty at any time of year, even winter.
I, uh, may have also checked it out for paddle boarding purposes.
