The wife and I had a hankering for some Vietnamese rice noodles, but we’re not huge fans of the place here in Strathmore, B. The food tastes decent enough if you get it as takeaway, but the restaurant itself smells … funky. We just don’t like dining in there. There is a Vietnamese restaurant in Chestermere, AB, that recently changed hands and we thought we’d check it out.

What used to be Van Son is now Pho City and it was worth the trip. The interior was clean and refreshed, the tatty booth seats recovered, and it was just pleasant to dine in there. The food itself was tasty with large portions and we had no complaints about the service.
My wife and I both give Pho City two thumbs up.
