A Bad Day With A Camera

Just One Thing to Say

Actually, I don’t think I have anything to say. I have one image to show for the day from my front yard. It was windier than hell. Weather Network said 20 kph gusting up to 35 kph. I stood in the front yard with my anemometer for a reading and it was 50 kph gusting up to 85 kph. Props to Weather Network for being consistent and failing to warn about dangerous conditions like usual.

My plans of a day on the lake in Chestermere were in ruins. I didn’t even drive to Calgary as planned because I have learned you don’t want to be on a Southern Alberta highway in a high wind. Unexpected things happen. Unexpected things are not compatible with safe travel. That meant I wound up going in circles in my yard at home with a camera.

The trunk image is the only one that turned out. Nothing else did because the wind was throwing stuff around so much that my Powershot couldn’t even focus properly on something. Whatever it failed to focus on was blurred anyhow. The ugly tree in my front yard was mostly not moving in the wind, but the whole thing swayed lightly.

Definitely a bad day with a camera.

Today’s camera was my venerable Canon Powershot G1X. I was in a bad mood and it was within reach.
