We had stopped here previously five years before and it was a magical place in our memories. My daughter, Ashlyn, especially loved wading barefoot in the shallow and very cold water. A do-over was needed. That, and we wanted to eat our picnic lunch somewhere pleasant.

Finn Creek is very pleasant, indeed. The lighting was harsh and it didn’t seem like I was going to do much in the way of photography, so I left the Canon EOS 50D in the car and took my mobile phone with me instead. I did get some images, but I don’t think they will ever find their way into a famous museum.

Creek, BC, 2024-07-11

We found a shady spot and enjoyed a lunch of egg salad sandwiches with plenty of fresh fruit, went and dipped toes in the water once more, and kept rolling toward Salmon Arm, BC.
