Today is the start of over a week of vacation. I barely made it to the end of the week. I am still sick as heck, but I’m getting better. The coughing has mostly stopped. The congestion has eased off some, and my joints have all dialed it back from agonizing to just painful. My energy level is still in the toilet. I did manage to get outside after work with a camera to poach some black and white shots, and there was also a sunset.
I sent the drone across Thomas Drive to do the hard work for me and shot the panorama remotely from my front sidewalk. The sun once again winked out about five minutes early thanks to a layer of clouds riding the horizon. Still, I’m happy with what I got.
I was excited enough about working the dandelion that I forgot both our front and back yards are basically a collection of small ant hills barely camoflaged by grass. I immediately remembered as soon as I lay down and felt a few nips from small creatures upset that a large fat thing decided to lie on them.
Crouching down and getting up for shots took what energy I had left for the evening, so I went back inside to drink soda and watch bad television. And to try to gather my strength for my vacation days.
The flower images were captured using Ray’s Canon EOS 7D. The sunset image is courtesy of my DJI Mini 3 photography drone.
