Things were nuts as usual at work, but I made myself take a break anyhow and go for a walk. The walk was down the irrigation canal along Thomas Drive to Kinsmen Park. Of course you can’t go ten feet along the canal this year without running into a quacker or three.
Today was a cool one with the temperature not making it above 13C. That temperature combined with a light breeze and today’s weather was jacket weather for sure. On the bright side of things, the light overcast made the colours pop at the park.
Today’s camera of choice was a Canon EOS 30D. It was another of the cameras I purchased used earlier this year with plans to use it while shooting with Ray in March. So much for the best laid plans, huh?
I have to say that it is really nice to finally be free of Pixel Peeping Disease. That’s when you’re on the quest for the most resolution, the sharpest glass, etc. It never ends and you’re never happy with what you have. Nowadays I’m happy wandering around holding a 18-year-old camera body with a 20-year-old lens and enjoying the images they produce. Photography should be fun and it should be fun with whatever camera you’re holding.
Today was fun.
Today’s images courtesy of my used Canon EOS 30D paired with a Canon 17-40mm EF L USM f4 lens for the shots of the park and a Canon 70-300mm EF IS USM f4-5.6 lens for the quacker.
