I had several different lenses out today. Notably the Reversed Helios came back out, so did the Bubble Bokeh lens, and my venerable manual focus Pentax Macro. And, of course, my DJI Mini 3 drone.
Tonight’s sunset was muted, but pretty, and a light wind roughed up the surface of Lower Gray Pond on me. It was better than nothing, so no complaints.
I took a run at the tree with white flowers with both my Bubble Bokeh lens and also the Reversed Helios, but only the latter turned out an acceptable image. I did get a nice image of a bush with yellow blossoms using the Helios as well. I’m not sure what it’s called, but I like it.
I did get some nice bubble bokeh off of the irrigation canal by shooting through some thin reeds at the side to get sun dappling on the water. I would probably get better lighting later in the day, but I’ll have all summer to chase that, so no worries.
Finally, I took a run at the lilac bushes in my front yard using my ancient 100mm Pentax macro lens. It has a pleasing bokeh that I love. It produces a nice clean image for a manual focus lens that is over four decades old. Today was another good day, and it is Friday as well. Bring on the weekend.
Today’s kit was a Canon EOS R5 and various lenses. That’s all I have energy left for. Sorry.
