Our taxes are done and we don’t owe the government money we can’t afford. Our yard is slowly coming back to life. There is the smell of rain in the air, which is most welcome in a severe drought. Most importantly, we are still doing okay at a time when a lot of Canadians are not.
It had been a drab, windy evening and it didn’t look like there was going to be much of a sunset, but Mother Nature surprised us. The sun managed to peak out from below the clouds as it dropped below the horizon and the wind dropped enough for me to fire a drone out the front door, allowing me to end the weekend with a nice sunset capture.
I am grateful for my life and the people I share it with, and I am especially grateful for this day.
