I would say the current snowy weather is for the birds, but the fact is that the birds don’t like it that much. You’d think that it’s hard for something with no lips to look pissed off, but the robins in our yard definitely had some PO’ed energy about them.
It has been snowing non-stop since about 7:00 am this morning. The snow has been building up and melting at the same time with the temperature hovering just above zero. I think the playground across from our home is getting its last white coating for the season.
I am just completely burned out with winter and trying to shoot snow and ice. I didn’t even get a proper lunch break to explore today because, just as I was about to head out, one fire after another happened at work and I got stuck putting them out.
Maybe tomorrow will be better and I will get a lunch break and some photos that are more inspiring. All I know about today is that it really was for the birds.
Today’s images were all made with my Canon EOS R5. The park images used my el-cheapo Holga plastic lens for EF mount, with the EF-RF adapter. The bird shots used my Sigma 150-600mm 5-6.3 Contemporary DG OS HSM lens.
