The malfunctions are continuing to pile up on my DJI Mini 2 micro drone. First, it was the persistent gimbal calibration error. Next, it is the ongoing issue with the drone making loud PATOOEY noises when I insert known good MicroSD cards. Now I have started getting persistent motor errors and my screen was full of messages demanding I land the drone immediately.

That last error appeared as I was lifting back up from the shore of the pond after getting the above shot and the drone behaved sluggishly. I was still able to get it to 120m elevation and turn it around to get the alpenglow as well…

I was half expecting it to drop out of the sky during the last shot, and I was careful to place the aircraft over an empty spot on the playground at Thornbriar Green in case it did. It didn’t and I was able to land it safely despite the errors.
I am now keeping an eye out for sales on drones and wishing like hell I had extended the DJI Refresh plan for one more year. Damn it.

Today’s images were captured using an overpriced, flying piece of crap. I’m not bitter, though. Nope. I’m not.
