A Bad Day With A Camera

Flowers for Ray

My wife Jennifer and I visited Ray’s widow, Nancy, today at her home in Leduc, Alberta. It was nice to see that well-wishers had sent her flowers. One bunch was even sent by Ray’s friends on Vero. Of course I took pictures of them. I mean, Ray would have.

We had a good time sharing memories of Ray and looking at his various cameras that were lying around. Seeing his Fujifilm X-T5 was bittersweet for me. I am glad he got to have it and use it, but I am sad that he never really got to put the miles on it that he deserved to. On a more cheerful note, there were chocolate chip cookies. Ray was a big fan of chocolate chip cookies.

Jennifer and I are looking forward to being able to get back to Leduc to visit Nancy again soon.
